Introduction
Undoubtedly, Babol University of Medical Sciences is considered one of the most beautiful universities in Iran. It is also recognized as the first university established in the northern region of the country, beginning its academic activities in 1983. Formerly known as Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences—prior to the establishment of the Sari University of Medical Sciences in the 1990s—this institution has played a pivotal role in medical education and healthcare in northern Iran. The university is responsible for providing healthcare and medical services to the cities of Babol, Babolsar, and Fereydunkenar in Mazandaran Province.
Ranking
Babol University of Medical Sciences is the owner and publisher of six specialized academic journals and the organizer of eight scientific conferences. To date, the university has published 2,048 research papers in national journals and conferences, and 4,426 internationally recognized articles (ISI-indexed), reflecting its strong scientific standing both in Iran and globally.
It is worth noting that in 2024 (Iranian year 1403), the university ranked 21st among all medical universities in Iran. Furthermore, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, Babol University of Medical Sciences was placed in the 601–800 band globally.

Tuition and Annual Fees
The tuition fees listed below apply to the 2024–2025 academic year. All tuition and annual costs are stated in U.S. dollars and cover one full academic year. Applicants admitted to Babol University of Medical Sciences will be notified of their total tuition fees via email as part of their admission package. Students are required to pay the full annual tuition and associated fees at the time of registration. These fees cover all educational and student services and may be subject to slight adjustments at the time of enrollment.
