The Persian Gulf University, also known as Bushehr University, is a public university located in the city of Bushehr. It was established in 1991. The university is situated in the western part of Bushehr, along the beautiful coastline of the Persian Gulf. The university began its educational activities in October 1992 with the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering, offering programs in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. It started with 69 students and 4 faculty members. Due to its geographical location next to the clear blue waters of the Persian Gulf and the large oil and gas facilities in the South Pars Special Zone, the university is considered a key development hub for the province. Currently, the university has 255 faculty members and over 8,640 active students, including 215 international students.

Persian Gulf Scholarships
Scholarship Type 1: covers Tuition fee, Dormitory, Dining.
Scholarship Type 2: covers Tuition fee.
Scholarship Type 3: 2/3 (Two-thirds) tuition discount.

The Dormitory
is provided for the student. The accommodation fee is announced yearly.
The cost of the dormitory in 2025-2026 is: 6,200,000 Tomans.

Dining
Cost is subsidized by the university.
Food costs in the academic year 2025-2026:
Breakfast: 33,000 Tomans per serving
Lunch: 46,200 Tomans per serving
Dinner: 39,600 Tomans per serving

The Medical Insurance
Cost Should Be Paid By Students.
Annual insurance cost in 2024-2025:
3,559,200 Tomans (three million five hundred fifty-nine thousand two hundred Tomans)
