Introduction
Noshirvani University of Technology in Babol was founded in the early 1970s by a visionary philanthropist, Seyed Hossein Fallah Noshirvani, on a 17-hectare land. In 1352, it was established as a Teacher Training College for Technical Instructors and became part of the higher education system. In 1357, it became the Faculty of Engineering under Mazandaran University. Later, in 1383, it operated as a Higher Education Complex. Due to rapid growth in science and technology, in 1387, with the permission of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, it fully separated from Mazandaran University and began operating independently as Noshirvani University of Technology. The university now includes 6 faculties and 1 campus.

 

Ranking
Although Noshirvani University of Technology in Babol is not a very large university, it holds respectable positions in global rankings. Here are its world rankings according to two well-known ranking systems:

  • In the US News global ranking, the university is ranked 598th in the world.
  • In the QS Asia Rankings, it is ranked 231st among Asian universities.

  • In 2013 (1392), Professor Mohsen Jahanshahi was awarded the National Research Medal, Grade Three, by then-President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
  • In 2013 (1392), the Simorgh team, led by Dr. Reza Khanbabai, won 4th place in the 8th National Chem-E-Car Competition and qualified for the world championships.
  • In 2009 (1388), the Nano Biotechnology Research Group ranked 2nd among 200 university and research centers worldwide.
  • In 2008 (1387), the Nano Biotechnology Research Laboratory won 1st place among university, research, and laboratory centers across Iran.
  • In 2008 (1387), the university’s Chem-E-Car team, led by Dr. Majid Taghizadeh, won 1st place in chemical car competitions held in China.
  • In 2008 (1387), Foad Mehri, a chemical engineering student supervised by Dr. Majid Taghizadeh, won 3rd place in development projects at the Khwarizmi Festival.

Welfare Facilities
Noshirvani University of Technology in Babol offers several welfare facilities, including multiple dormitory complexes with large green courtyards. These dormitories have sports facilities such as a gym, ping-pong hall, football and volleyball fields, and snack bars.
