Razi University in Kermanshah is one of the most reputable public universities in western Iran. Every year, it offers a wide range of academic programs at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. In 2008, it received the top ranking in the national university performance evaluation.

Introduction

Razi University began its activities in 1972 in the city of Kermanshah. It initially expanded through the establishment of three faculties: Kermanshah Medical Faculty, Sanandaj Teacher Training Faculty, and Ilam Veterinary Faculty. After the Islamic Revolution, each of these faculties became independent. The university campus is large, beautiful, and green, located at the foot of the historic Tagh Bostan Mountain. With the expertise of over 455 faculty members across 56 academic departments and more than 12,000 students enrolled in four levels of education, Razi University offers 74 undergraduate programs, 142 master’s programs, 1 professional doctorate program, and 69 specialized doctoral programs.

It has signed numerous cooperation agreements with universities in the region, the Islamic world, and European countries. It ranks between 5th and 10th among comprehensive universities in Iran based on the ISC international ranking system.
