Introduction
Islamic Azad University of Najafabad was established on January 4, 1986. Currently, the university comprises 24 faculties and research centers, as well as over 144 workshops and laboratories. Additionally, more than 3,100 students and 370 faculty members are actively involved at Islamic Azad University of Najafabad.
Ranking
According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2025 (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/islamic-azad-university-najafabad-branch-iaun), Islamic Azad University Najafabad achieved a ranking between 251-300 in Physical Sciences and between 401-500 in Engineering Sciences. Based on the 2016, 2017, and 2018 rankings by the international Spanish platform Scimago, the Najafabad branch was ranked first among Islamic Azad and non-governmental universities in Isfahan Province and 5th among all Islamic Azad and non-governmental universities nationwide. According to the international Scopus ranking, the Najafabad branch secured first place among Islamic Azad and non-governmental universities in Isfahan Province and 7th place among Islamic Azad and non-governmental universities across the country. Based on the Webometrics international ranking platform in 2017, 2018, and 2019, the Najafabad branch ranked first among Islamic Azad and non-governmental universities in Isfahan Province and fourth among all Islamic Azad and non-governmental universities nationwide.

- For non-resident international students admitted through the FStudent system, tuition is calculated according to the above table and is payable in USD.
