Studying at Kashan University
Introduction
The University of Kashan is the largest and oldest university in the Kashan region, located in the city of Ravand. Established in 1973, the university currently serves nearly 8,500 students across approximately 202 academic programs at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. With the support of around 300 full-time faculty members, the University of Kashan continues to move dynamically and energetically toward a bright and promising future.
Ranking
The University of Kashan is considered one of the relatively high-ranking universities in Iran. To date, it has published 7,022 domestic and 5,580 international research papers. In 2021, the university ranked 41st among public universities and 61st overall among all universities in the country. Furthermore, the University of Kashan has also gained international recognition. For instance, in the 2020 U.S. News rankings, it secured the 1,172nd position globally. Additionally, in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings for Engineering, it was placed in the 401–500 bracket.

Welfare and Student Services
The University of Kashan offers a wide range of welfare facilities to support its students. These include dormitories for non-local students, student loans for financial support, and a variety of sports amenities such as basketball, handball, football, futsal, and badminton courts, as well as wrestling halls, fitness centers, chess rooms, martial arts facilities, dart halls, table tennis halls, an equestrian field, a swimming pool, an archery range, a skating track, and cycling paths. In addition, the university has a well-equipped library and strong academic resources, along with suitable healthcare and medical services for students. One of the standout features of the university’s welfare offerings is its active support for cultural and artistic activities, such as organizing exhibitions, theater performances, concerts, and student festivals.
Tuition fee
Tuition fee for international students are as follows (total sum for the whole duration of the course:
- Examination of admission request for applicant is free of charges.
- To finalize admission at University of Kashan, the applicants must pay 10% of total tuition fee prior to attending the classes.
- This is the total sum for the whole duration of the course.
- Dormitory, food and insurance expenses are not included.
